Aevitas Consultancy · The journey

The road to listing.

Eight stages, one honest map. No timelines promised — every company moves at its own pace — but nothing here is hidden from you either.

  1. The decision

Before anything else: why list, why now, and is the company ready to want it? This is the stage most companies skip — and the one that decides everything after it. A free clarity call is a good place to have it.

  2. Readiness and preparation

The longest stage, and rightly so: governance, accounts, processes, documentation — the company brought to the standard the market expects. Done quietly, on your timeline, this stage makes the later ones simpler and faster.

  3. Appointing the team

The merchant banker who leads the offer, plus the registrar, legal advisers and auditors. These are licensed, regulated roles — our work is helping you choose well and keep the whole team coordinated.

  4. Drafting and due diligence

The DRHP — the offer document — is drafted, and every claim in it is checked against the company's records. What the document says must be what the company can prove; preparation here is everything.

  5. Filing and observations

The draft goes to the exchange, under SEBI's regulatory oversight. Questions come back; answers go in; the document matures until it clears. Iterations are normal — they are the system working, not failing.

  6. Marketing and the offer

The price band is published, anchor investors commit, and the offer opens to public investors for a few days of book building. The company's story now meets the market's judgement.

  7. Allotment and listing day

Shares are allotted, and the company's name appears on the exchange. It is a genuine milestone — celebrated properly — and it is a beginning, not a finish line.

  8. Life as a listed company

Regular results, timely disclosures, steady governance — and on the SME platforms, a market maker supporting your shares. The discipline you built to get listed now runs permanently. The companies that thrive treat this as the point, not the price.

The honest notes

What no stage map tells you.

Preparation almost always takes longer than the paperwork — companies routinely spend more months getting ready than the filing-and-listing stretch itself. The stages overlap more than any diagram shows. And the single biggest schedule risk is not the regulator; it is information that arrives late from inside the company.

None of these are reasons to avoid the road. They are reasons to walk it prepared — which is a large part of what we are for.

Where we sit on this map

We walk the whole road with you — the decision, the readiness work, choosing and coordinating the licensed team, and keeping the picture coherent. We do not replace your merchant banker; we make sure you arrive at them ready.

Your map, your pace

See the road clearly before you walk it.

On the clarity call we will place your company on this map, tell you honestly how long your road likely is, and what the first milestone should be. Free, once, no obligation.
